AVOID CONFLICT

Hebrews 12:15

looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

The origin of most conflicts could very well have been avoided. There is certainly a way to avoid it, O help us Holy Spirit.

Listen, consider your health, strife is one major cause of heart and neurological diseases. We must avoid them at all cost.

Proverbs 14:30

A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.

To get annoyed, to get hurt and to seek revenge, does not really take much effort to act on. It flows easily with its emotion. If we let our id free, we could even surprise ourselves on how far we could go. Listen, self control is very important. It is one of the fruits of the Spirit.

We feel the exhaustion and regret after we have taken the action. Is it worth it? No!

Proverbs 15:18

A wrathful man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger allays contention.

We may not be able to control what we encounter day after day. We cannot control what people would want to do. What we can control is our responses and the atmosphere around us.

Our great examples in scriptures, were people who took care of themselves and their atmosphere, they did not allow what people around them did or what the world was saying to distract them from being who they were in God.

Genesis 13:8-9

Finally Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not allow this conflict to come between us or our herdsmen. After all, we are close relatives!

The whole countryside is open to you. Take your choice of any section of the land you want, and we will separate. If you want the land to the left, then I’ll take the land on the right. If you prefer the land on the right, then I’ll go to the left.”

Abraham who was Lot's uncle and guardian avoided conflict by asking Lot to choose first. We saw how Lot ended. May we not lack wisdom!

We really need to take heed. Little troubles shouldn't break us. We are indeed strong in the Lord.

Jesus said: "enough is the evil of the day".

Instead of focusing our attention on those little troubles, we could very well take time out and meditate on our calling, our dreams, our visions and goals.

We could spend the energy taking stock of where we are and where we are headed.

If the Lord opens our record file, will it be empty, or will we be worthy of reward.

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God

I see us focusing our energy on the right things.

We would not permit or dwell on those little troubles.

We are overcomers!

Help us Good Lord.

PRAYER

Loving Father, keep us in peace with all. Do not let me merely react but be directed by Your Spirit that I will not fail, fall or falter. I will please You in all things. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.
