Knowing "the Father" and "the Son"

John 6:46

"Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.

In the beginning God created heaven and earth . . . the presence of other persons was not reflected till we come to the creation of man

Gen 1:25 -26

And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

We see then that when God was to make us He had to reveal His personality that is, it was not just the will of God as the Father but involving the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It will remain a mystery to those who are yet to believe and be saved.

Look at the book of John

John 1:1-5

 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Who is the Father?

If you go through the old testament you see a lot of killings, wiping away of cities and nations with instant judgements as so on.

People at that time didn't know God, what they actually knew was the law and the ministry of angels. They also did not know the enemy satan.

The world was held in bondage of the original and first sin, that of Adam.

Genesis 2:17

"but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

Man before the physical revelation of Jesus Christ could never have known God as He is.

1John 4:7

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

The Father is Love!

You can never know Him except He is revealed to you by the only one person who can do that . . . "The Son"

John 1:18

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

The disciples were rejected in a city and they wanted to react as in the time of the law, they wanted to call destruction on the city, but Jesus told them;

Luke 9:55

But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of.

The Spirit of God is revealed to us by His Son and He reveals the Son to us.

Unless one receives Jesus as Lord and Saviour they can never claim to know God. That is why Jesus said:

John 16:28

"I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father."

Let us share the glory of God as we lead those who are yet to believe in the Son.

1 John 2:22-23

And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.

Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

Furthermore, we will all stand before Him after this life. Those who believe and those who don't!

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Know the Father, know the Son, know the Spirit. God Almighty. Glory.

PRAYER

Thank You Heavenly Father for revealing Yourself in Your Son Christ Jesus and Your Spirit. I am family because of the sacrifice of Your Son. I walk in tune with You loving Father, I enjoy the sonship rights. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
