IS IT TRULY GOD?
1 Chronicles 21:1,7,17
Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel.
God was very displeased with the census, and he punished Israel for it.
And David said to God, “I am the one who called for the census! I am the one who has sinned and done wrong! But these people are as innocent as sheep—what have they done? O lord my God, let your anger fall against me and my family, but do not destroy your people.”
One good advise to give to new converts is to begin reading scriptures from the New Testament. Most preferably from the book of John.
Why is this so?
Jesus said:
Matthew 11:27
“My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
The person who could really reveal the Heavenly Father was Himself through His Son, Jesus the Christ.
None who recorded the old testament had a true knowledge of the Father. This is proved when we read the accounts like that in 2Samuel 24 and compared to 1Chronicles 21.
2 Samuel 24:1
Once again the anger of the lord burned against Israel, and he caused David to harm them by taking a census. “Go and count the people of Israel and Judah,” the lord told him.
1 Chronicles 21:1
Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel.
From the original texts we see that the translators could not clearly see the distinction between God and Satan, the truth was that in the time of the old testament, the people did not have the revelation of who Satan was.
That is why we read the New Testament to get the true revelation of who the Heavenly Father is, then when we read the old testament, we read without the veil.
Also it was Christ who exposed Satan and his works.
So do not complicate it by trying to explain yet with the veil on, take it off then the true revelation of the Heavenly Father will be revealed.
Christ is the true revelation of who the Heavenly Father is, and if you are truly going to know the Father it must be through the Son.
Colossians 1:15-21
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.
Everything was created through him and for him.
He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.
He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead.
So he is first in everything.
For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,
and through him God reconciled everything to himself.
He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.
Christ is the true revealer of the Heavenly Father all others after Him are liars, know this and know peace!
He yet remains the revealer and the mediator.
1 Timothy 2:5
For,There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.
So you want explanations, come to Christ Jesus.
Glory.
