GUARD IT

1 Chronicles 26:1,16
These are the divisions of the gatekeepers:From the Korahites, there was Meshelemiah son of Kore, of the family of Abiasaph.
Shuppim and Hosah were assigned the west gate and the gateway leading up to the Temple. Guard duties were divided evenly.

We cannot take for granted the security of what is important to us. I will say "what you don't guard you tend to lose".

We do not have to wait till we are invaded for us to build gatekeepers around our treasures, if we keep the gates guarded, any invader would meet an opposition and they would flee.

Yes it was the temple of God, yet gatekeepers had to be assigned. The same for the palace and the city gates. Military personnel from families of each tribe were assigned to guard the gates using a roster.

Listen, the first place to guard is your heart:

Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Be careful what you allow to get in, mind what you listen to, see/read and what you meditate on or say. Run away from gossipers, backbiters and those who cause discord among brethren or families.

Many things want your attention but not all of them are good for you.
They may come as friends, enemies, passersby or even family, anyone or anything could be the source, we must be attentive in the spirit to know when to excuse ourselves. Cut them off, save yourself. Selah

Guard your time from time wasters/ stealers.

Guard your goals, visions and plans.

Guard your home, many forces are available to destroy marriages, separate spouses and corrupt children.

Guard your income, be it business or in any form of employment.

Guard your investment and assets don't give everyone access. Don't eat the profit with the capital.

Guard your body, take care of it don't mark or stain it, mind what you eat or drink, exercise it, clean it up always. Remember that prevention is always better than cure.

The list goes on.

What you don't guard do not be surprised when you lose it!

Who will separate us from our God?

God Himself guards His own.

Psalms 91:14
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.

Be on guard.

Help us Good Lord.

PRAYER
Loving Father, help me guard all that is important in my life, starting from my heart. I will not be robbed of my treasures, instead I will continue to prosper and increase in all good things. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
