NO MATTER WHAT, WE WIN

1 Chronicles 12:38-40

All these men came in battle array to Hebron with the single purpose of making David the king over all Israel. In fact, everyone in Israel agreed that David should be their king.

They feasted and drank with David for three days, for preparations had been made by their relatives for their arrival.

And people from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali brought food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen. Vast supplies of flour, fig cakes, clusters of raisins, wine, olive oil, cattle, sheep, and goats were brought to the celebration. There was great joy throughout the land of Israel.

How we desire to have a time of rest where there is no question about our status and position, instead all come to rejoice with us.

Do you know that there is a time like this when the whole of heaven rejoice over a person?

Luke 15:7a

In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God

Dear child of God keep spreading the gospel, keep letting everyone know of the good news of the salvation in Christ Jesus.

Know this, that the whole of heaven rejoiced the day you were saved, do not take your salvation for granted. Selah

In our reading we see the whole of Israel celebrating the kingship of David. It didn't begin that way.

Recall that he was anointed to be king when he was still an obscure shepherd boy taking care of his father's sheep. Later on because of God's work through him, he got into the palace but Saul made him enemy and tried several times to kill him, so much that he had to go hide in the deserts. He still chased him into the caves!

This continued till Saul died and even after that oppositions arose to stand against his kingship.

However, we see that at last all of Israel accepted and celebrated him as king.

Yes, we would not like to go through all these phases. Infact some preach that our salvation would all be sweet sail once we are saved.

Listen, that is not what the saviour promised.

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

1 Peter 5:10

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

I do not know what season you are in now, know this, the storm would be over and the sun will shine favourably on you.

Do not go astray, seeking for what is not lost because you face challenges. Instead stand strong in faith knowing that you already have victory.

Understand that Him who You trust will never fail you.

Glory to His name forevermore.

PRAYER

I trust You Lord, every challenge or difficulty I face is just for a little while, my victory is already sure. Nothing can bring me down. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love

@the watcher.
