DON'T BE A HYPOCRITE

Matthew 5:20

“But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!

In His days on earth as a man, Christ told us to beware of the leaven of the religious teachers, there was a lot of woes against the Pharisees and teachers of the law. Why was this?

They were hypocrites!

Matthew 23:13,15

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either.

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you cross land and sea to make one convert, and then you turn that person into twice the child of hell you yourselves are!

They teach one thing but practice another. Very quick to seat on the judgment seat against others but they never call themselves to order.

They try to look good on the outside, but check their inner thoughts and gossips, it is full of evil.

Matthew 23:23-24,27

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.

Blind guides! You strain your water so you won’t accidentally swallow a gnat, but you swallow a camel!

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity.

Does any of these relate to you? If yes, then you need to be delivered!

Someone may say, is that serious?

Ah, listen to Christ:

Matthew 23:33

Snakes! Sons of vipers! How will you escape the judgment of hell?

Yes, it is that serious.

Christ warned us about the righteousness of these type of people and He says it would not lead anyone to the kingdom of Heaven.

Matthew 5:20

“But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!

Listen Brethren, give the Lord your heart, stop all these nonsense!

You only know God when you are in a gathering (church), or when you attend one programme or another in person or online. However, on your own there is no God in you.

Come on, do You know who God is?

He is not God alone when you join that program or when you worship with others. He is God all the time!

Do you get it?

Occasional recognition of Him is the hypocrisy that we are looking at today.

You sing with others, pray with others and study the word with others but on your own you are filled with hate, lies, envy, accusations, and all others evil thoughts.

Come of it. Mortify your members in the flesh!

That pastor, prophet, pope, bishop, man of God or whatever title you call them cannot not stand for you. They themselves have to give account so you think they have a thought about you. Be wise, stop all these nonsense. Be serious with God!

This is why Jesus told the Samaritan woman:

John 4:21,23-24

Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

The temple of God is not that building you go to gather, no matter the capacity, beauty or location. The temple is You!!!

Just the way we all try to make our place of worship beautiful with an awesome ambiance, much more we must make our heart even more beautiful.

Wake up!

Listen to the Messiah:

Matthew 23:25-28

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!

You blind Pharisee! First wash the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too.

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity.

Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Listen, if you do not have people that tell you the truth you would just keep getting foolish and acting foolish day after day getting worse yet you would think you are okay and that the other person is the one at fault. Seek wisdom.

May the Lord have mercy on us and cause us to awaken from every foolishness to serve Him truly, deleting every hypocrisy,  holding on to and living the life of truth.

So help us Good Lord.

PRAYER

Loving Father, search me and remove anything that does not please You. I reject every form of hypocrisy but live a life of sincerity to You and others. Help me Lord God. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
