ARE YOU LED BY THE SPIRIT?

Isaiah 59:21"

As for Me," says the LORD, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore."


Romans 8:14

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.


We know that the only way to be God's child is our believing in His Son and accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour then He now lives in us by the Holy Spirit.


John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.


John 1:12

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name:


Revelation 3:20

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.


Acts 2:38

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


All these we may know but does it stop at the point of salvation or is it an investment we do then walk away waiting for the interest to accumulate?


The Holy Spirit dwelling in anyone who is a child of God is an everyday experience, He is available to guide us in all we do and He builds us up daily in the character of God which is


Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.


The Holy Spirit builds our spirit to display these true nature of God. Then He further empowers us with His gifts to excel in our endeavours, edify the church and minister salvation to others.


1Corinthians 12:7-8

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,


If Daniel who lived at the time the Spirit only visited could manifest the Spirit of God and do exploits. We who received the indwelling of the Spirit at the new birth should do more.


* He is available to help us pray even when we don't know what we ought to pray.


* He is available as our advocate.


* He reveals the will of the Father to us.


* He leads us to win souls to God.


* He remains as our comforter and friend.


* He also helps us excel in our earthly business, work and even study.


And because He is a gentle Spirit we most times forget He is there, but once you yield to Him He leads you on and there is never a regret following His leading.


Our salvation was by the Holy Spirit, He convinced us and made us submit to God through His Son Yeshua Hamaschiac, "Jesus the Christ". It will then be odd for us to have believed by faith in the leading of the Holy Spirit then go on living our lives in the flesh which is now dead.


Galatians 3:3

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?


Yes it is foolishness to walk in the flesh when you were saved by the Spirit. 


It is time to awaken!


Are we conscious of the Spirit of God in us?


We come back to God today, we throw away all the garbage. I see the Holy Spirit leading us to fulfil the purpose of God for our lives.


PRAYER

Loving Father help me to be fully conscious of Your Spirit in me, pleasing You in all things. I know You Lord therefore I do exploits in all areas of my life. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
