WHOSE SCALE ARE YOU USING?

Philippians 2:5

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

With what scale do we measure?

* the world

* our flesh

* God

* or man

The battle has always been for "our soul" that is the real us . . .

All becomes struggle and chasing after wind when our measuring scale is the flesh.

Let us say like Paul:

Galatians 1:10

For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:21

Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours:

How do we know whom we please? It is by the thoughts that we allow to stay. The one whom we consider first, before we take a decision.

Is it?

* What will people say about this?

* How will I feel about this?

or

* What does God want me to do?

The truth is God's own is always the best. He knows all things, he has seen further than we can ever see and already knows the outcome.

Revelation 1:8

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

Isaiah 46:10

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,'

Psalms 111:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever

Many practice a transactional and seasonal relationship with God. Instead of having their daily communion with Him, alone and with immediate family, they wait for special programmes somewhere else most times with multitude expecting one miracle, breakthrough or encounter. If you are in this category, sorry, you have no relationship with the Heavenly Father you are more like a visitor, and who told you God is anywhere waiting for you.

Wake up!!!

Learn from Jesus discussion with the woman at the well:

John 4:20-21,23-24

So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?”

Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Christ came that He may live in you, not in a building, place or in an event. He lives in You if you are truly His.

Therefore when we gather, it is a gathering of saints, people who have God in them, so we come together to turn things around.

We do not go ahead and live horrible lives then come and gather that we would be made clean. No!

Repent!

Decide today to make the Heavenly Father your measuring scale.

Not your sentiment, emotion, appetite, lust or even your ego!

This is why I love Joseph's testimony:

Genesis 39:9

No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.”

If you are truly of God, He would be your priority and you would measure by His scale.

I see us aligning our measuring scale to God. It needs practice!

Romans 12:2

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

He will by His Spirit make all our paths straight.

Him will we please, above everything else.

PRAYER

Loving Father, my loyalty is to You.  Help me to measure by Your scale, it is You I will continually please O Lord, I live for You here and I will also be with You in eternity. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love

@the watcher.
