DO YOU DESIRE HIM?

Matthew 5:6

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.


Matthew 5:6 (KJV)

Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.


The heart of man is what really matters, it determines what the person does. We have established from scriptures time and again in this devotional that the heart is what the Lord looks at.


Jeremiah 17:10

But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. 

I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”


So what is in your heart is what the Lord looks at to make judgment.


Christ is teaching in the sermon on the mount that the one who has a heart that seeks God's righteousness and justice would surely be satisfied.


Is that what you seek?


Do you sincerely seek that things would be right, that wickedness would leave the earth, you are not comfortable seeing evil celebrated. You do not take part in it, neither do you encourage it.


The true desire for God is born out of love and that makes you desire to walk in His righteousness!


This desire for God is what makes us reach out to others who are lost, appealing to them to return to the Lord.


This desire makes us live as examples to others, that they may also walk in the righteousness of God.


If the Lord goes ahead to fulfil the desire of your heart would it bring you good or evil?


What is the state of your heart, what does it produce?


We must get it right.


O help us Good Lord.


PRAYER

Loving Father I walk in Your righteousness which is in Christ Jesus, satisfy me, may I never take another path. I will please You Lord in all things, keep my heart pure and always hungry for You. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
