WORSHIP GOD

Psalms 66:4

Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.”

The best way to begin a new day is to worship the one who allowed us to see the day.

1Chronicles 23:30

to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening;

Same way to end the day.

Giving God the Glory.

Psalms 30:12

To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

The act of worship involves reverence.

Our everyday lives should be aimed at giviving reverence to God, in school, workplace, at home, in the bus, in your car, in the airplane, everywhere.

Worship is an act which is as a result of the state of one's mind. Worship is for the One we submit to.

Do we always worship God?

Worship is attributed to a deity and is even synonymous to idolatry. Another synonym is idolatry. (according to the English dictionary).

We therefore should note that when we do not worship God something else is worshipped.

Exodus 20:3

"You shall have no other gods before me"

Exodus 20:4

"You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

Revelation 19:10

And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Today some believers have become worshippers of mammon these also includes some pastors and ministers, some worship angels and other beings, some worship self and some worship other humans living or dead. All these are forms of idolatry and spiritual perversion.

The bible is very clear on who or whom we are to worship.

Revelation 22:9

Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

Revelations 19:10

And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

One of the ways to know who you worship is to identify who you consider first when you take a decision, what you meditate on, what you spend time on and what your motivation is.

Take time to consider these, then you understand who or what truly you worship.

Today may we worship God in spirit and in truth.

 John 4:24

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

John 4:23

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

As we continue in this life, may we worship God daily.

In conclusion, understand that each time we decide to do the right thing, we honour God and it is seen as worship. Selah!

PRAYER:

Lord I worship You for Who You are. May all I do in thought, word or deed be an act of worship to You. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
