WHAT DO YOU HAVE INSIDE?

Matthew 23:25-26

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!

You blind Pharisee! First wash the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too.

Most times, things we buy or are attracted to, come in wrappers with shades of various colours, logos and designs.

The real thing is eventually seen when the wrapper/covering is removed.

Listen, just like that product, when the covering/makeup of a person wears off or is removed, we see the real person!

Check:

* away from the church service/programme

* when people who know us as christians are not present

* when night has come

* when we are annoyed

* when we are tempted with money, sex, power, position

* when we have a challenge

* when expectations are delayed

etc

In these situations we know what one is really made of.

Jesus told the Pharisees and teachers of the law that they clean the outside but the inside is full of filth. That is what many who practice the law do. He even went ahead to say the same thing about tithing, they tithe of all their produce but they ignore the more important law.

Matthew 23:23

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.

Don't we see the same in our churches, they leave the important message and focus just on money, money and money. You begin to wonder who is God to them. The Heavenly Father or mammon!

Dear brethren can we check ourselves? Check yourself!

What really are we made of, what is our content. Behind all those beautiful clothings, nice oratory and deodorant what is really in you?

When we are faced with difficult situations, how do we respond?

When we are faced with temptation or we are offended, how do we respond?

These would show where and how we stand. Selah

Proverbs 24:10 (KJV)

[If] thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength [is] small.

Here we need the grace to stand, and stand strong.

Ephesians 6:13

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

When we are alone or outside our circle of convenience or comfort zone, we could be tempted to fret or err.

The truth is, since we are born of God's Spirit, we are never alone.

John 14:27

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

You are alone when you resist or turn away from God!

Everyone must prove of what substance they are made of, and this is when the covering is removed.

1Corinthians 3:13

each one's work will become manifest; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is.

2Timothy 2:21

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, [and] prepared unto every good work.

One good thing is that if we are born again we have the power to build up our inside because we have the right foundation. "Yeshua" Jesus the Christ.

We must build up with precious stones and not with wood or earth. It must be divine not earthy or vain.

1Corinthians 3:11

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

1Corinthians 3:12

Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,

2Timothy 2:20

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

I declare a season of renewed inner man.

The Lord will build us again as we behold Him day after day.

Every flaw is corrected

We will be built up of precious stone

When we are uncovered only good will be found.

We are vessels unto honour.

God will rejoice because of us.

We shall not be carried away by the world but we shall carry the Word.

A season of perfection, healing, restoration and prosperity.

A season of the Spirit.

When we are unwrapped precious shall be our content.

PRAYER

Thank You Lord for You build me inside and out with Your precious materials. I am a treasure in an earthy vessel. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
