ETERNITY

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

While we are here on earth we may forget that the time here is limited. We are either overwhelmed with the riches and enjoyments we have or the pains and worries of life. We could also be weary of the bothers of people around us. The list continues . . .

The main riches surpasses our time here, for it is from these riches that we enjoy on earth.

Romans 9:23

and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory.

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness . . .

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

So whether in this world or in the one after riches still belong to God.

Think of it, the joy you experience when you are in need and money gets into your hands. It is not really the money but what the money can buy that generates the joy. It can also be the security you feel due to the presence of the money.

Bills can now be paid, food can be bought, you can dress well and so on.

So actually the joy is not just the money but what the money can achieve.

As wise christians we are not to seek for the perishable but for that which is imperishable.

John 6:27

"Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him."

They joy of eternity is filled when we share it here on earth by the love we share with others in an act of giving.

The eternity we look up to begins from here and even the promises of Jesus for following him includes blessings here

Matthew 19:29

"And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit everlasting life.

In the records of the acts of the apostles we see the record of a man whose eternal activity on earth provoked heaven to reach out to him:

Acts of the Apostles 10:3-4

One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said.

Cornelius stared at him in terror. “What is it, sir?” he asked the angel.And the angel replied, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering!

So you see that, this was giving that had no expectation, not the type that is giving because a minister threatens you with hell, or by twisting scriptures, or any form of cajole. But an expression of eternity in his heart. He was not a Jew, he was not a Christian or whatever religion or denomination, he had eternity in his heart which is the love of God.

Also he was a man of prayer, you shouldn't expect recognition from a person you do not recognize. Selah

Thus, God sent salvation to him, he could not be left out of that which was eternal, because he allowed eternity in his heart 

As we go through the year let us share eternity by reaching out to those around us not expecting anything in return. I mean those in need.

YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO GIVE!

No child of God is a beggar.

Psalm 37:25

I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

Don't place yourself at the begging end, be the giver. Show forth the splendor of God's eternity.

So many things will arise to belittle you, telling you that you are less than what God has made you to be, don't accept it.

It is not about money but love, are you still keeping malice with someone, are you still holding a grudge, come on, release yourself from that self inflicted bondage that you may enjoy eternity in your heart.

Are you a peace maker or you join others to create, fan or promote discord? Then eternity may be far from you.

Are you proud, arrogant and lack love? Then where is the eternity in your heart?

Remember, God is Love.

PRAYER

Loving Father, you have put eternity in my heart and sealed it with Your salvation which is only found in Yeshua Hamaschiac, Jesus the Christ. May I reflect this eternity through my time here on earth and of course where You are there will I be also. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
