DON'T DOUBT GOD

2 Kings 7:1-2

Elisha replied, “Listen to this message from the Lord! This is what the Lord says: By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, six quarts of choice flour will cost only one piece of silver, and twelve quarts of barley grain will cost only one piece of silver.”

The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, “That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!”But Elisha replied, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!”

I always say that it is not in all things that the Lord God interferes in the affairs of man. There are things that the Lord has designed as default and the structure as such that it will not fail and order will be maintained.

Genesis 8:21-22

And the Lord was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things.

As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

So I cannot then say that because this person or that person do not know or acknowledge the Lord they will not prosper in their business or their academic pursuit etc. No that statement is not true.

However, when the Lord decides to intervene in particular matters on the earth, all rules bend to fit into that change!

This is why it is called a miracle.

It was never abused, is never abused and will never be abused.

We must never doubt what God says He will do, No, God is unlimited and cannot be questioned. He is God.

So when Elisha prophesied about the sudden abundance of food and provisions such that, six quarts of choice flour will cost only one piece of silver, and twelve quarts of barley grain will cost only one piece of silver, the officer assisting the king doubted. Why?

It was illogical!

Understand the crises in Israel at that time:

2 Kings 6:26-30

One day as the king of Israel was walking along the wall of the city, a woman called to him, “Please help me, my lord the king!”

He answered, “If the Lord doesn’t help you, what can I do? I have neither food from the threshing floor nor wine from the press to give you.”

But then the king asked, “What is the matter?”She replied, “This woman said to me: ‘Come on, let’s eat your son today, then we will eat my son tomorrow.’

So we cooked my son and ate him. Then the next day I said to her, ‘Kill your son so we can eat him,’ but she has hidden her son.”

When the king heard this, he tore his clothes in despair. And as the king walked along the wall, the people could see that he was wearing burlap under his robe next to his skin.

When a famine gets to the stage when people begin to eat their own children, you may not blame anyone for losing hope!

However, no situation is so complex that the Lord cannot handle. None.

I do not know what was in the heart of the officer to make that statement but it was a direct defiance to what God has said and he received a sentence immediately.

I would not say that sentence was from God, maybe from the prophet for  we remember what happened to the children that mocked him for being bald. Selah

Now listen, some supposed prophet or pastor, man of God or whatever title they bare could also decide to want to claim this authority over people. Either by cursing them or saying this or that against them because they dared to question their prophesy or seek accountability from them. Sorry that is not God's Spirit working listen.

Luke 9:55 - 56(kjv)

But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save [them]. And they went to another village.

And Paul further explains:

Romans 12:14

Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.

May we be guided accordingly.

So we must not doubt God, if there is a sure word He has promised you either from scriptures or by direct revelation, believe it, even if it tarries, wait for it, it will surely come to pass. Know that He will not contradict His word and He will yet not fail you.

2 Corinthians 1:20

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

What are you trusting God for?

It is done.

What have you been waiting for?

It is almost time, get ready.

In all stay working, don't sleep off. Keep worshipping, keep living. God has is it in control because you are His own.

Glory to God forevermore.

PRAYER

Loving Father, may I never doubt you concerning anything. I trust You and I will never be disappointed. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
