TRUE LOVE

John 15:9

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.


When we talk of love, we open a long teaching which can be described from many approaches or philosophy. From the question: "what type of love?", we could begin to talk of the various kinds of love, eros, philo, agape etc.


However there is someone who is love and we know Him to be the only one who can claim this:


1John 4:8b

 for God is love.


Many who have read the old testament would wonder at much killings, bloodshed and wrath. The truth is, God had not yet been revealed. We could say,  what of all the prophets that were anointed to shew him forth?

Remember the scriptures said:


John 1:18

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].


Jesus revealed God as who He is: Love!


John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.


Luke 9: 54 - 56

And when his disciples James and John saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save [them]. And they went to another village.


Most of the time we give God a representation that those who observe us make a wrong judgement.


Many have painted a picture of someone else as God, through the wrath message they preach, all chaos, punishment and condemnation. Truly many of these ones do not know God. Could they know Him better than the Son?


Every love man shows, is an offshoot of God's love, God is the definition of love.


1John 4:7-8

 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.


Therefore we must show love as an evidence of being His own. The very first character of His Spirit in us is Love. Therefore whatever we do must be an output of love.


I serve a God of love He is my father and friend. What of you?


May God's love be revealed through us.


PRAYER

Loving Father help me to always show a true representation of You to the world. May Your love dwell in me and flow through me. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
