MAKE YOUR TEMPLE READY FOR HIM

1 Kings 7:48-51

Solomon also made all the furnishings of the Temple of the Lord: the gold altar; the gold table for the Bread of the Presence;
the lampstands of solid gold, five on the south and five on the north, in front of the Most Holy Place; the flower decorations, lamps, and tongs—all of gold;
the small bowls, lamp snuffers, bowls, ladles, and incense burners—all of solid gold; the doors for the entrances to the Most Holy Place and the main room of the Temple, with their fronts overlaid with gold.
So King Solomon finished all his work on the Temple of the Lord. Then he brought all the gifts his father, David, had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and the various articles—and he stored them in the treasuries of the Lord’s Temple.

When we read through the splendour of the temple building and consider the inner finishing Solomon put in it, what should come to our mind should be our temple.

As scripture says the temple is our body where God dwells by His Spirit.

It is therefore important as believers that we take care of ourselves and prepare ourselves a worthy vessel for the Lord to dwell in.

Do not carelessly allowing anything room in your heart or body, be it outside or within. We are always to be conscious that God dwells in us, in whatever we do that we might not contaminate or defile our vessel.

Paul taught:

1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

So as Solomon took much care to prepare God's temple, we should do the same in making ourselves a worthy vessel for Him to occupy.

1 Thessalonians 4:1,4-5
Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.
Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—
not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.

It is time for us to rebuild our temple to be fit for the Master's use.

Remember what Jesus said:

Matthew 21:13

He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!”

Therefore dear believer it is time for "All filth out, His nature in", that we will be worthy vessels for the Master's use.

Help us Good Lord.

PRAYER
Loving Father my body is Your vessel, let Your Spirit dwell in me continually and may I do nothing that will make my vessel unworthy. Glorify Thyself in me Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
