IT IS ACTUALLY YOUR CHOICE
Asa began to rule over Judah in the twentieth year of Jeroboam’s reign in Israel.
Asa did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, as his ancestor David had done.
He banished the male and female shrine prostitutes from the land and got rid of all the idols his ancestors had made.
Nadab son of Jeroboam began to rule over Israel in the second year of King Asa’s reign in Judah. He reigned in Israel two years.
But he did what was evil in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his father, continuing the sins that Jeroboam had led Israel to commit.
We need to keep this in mind:
Cain and Abel came from the womb.
Jacob and Esau came from the same womb.
Joseph and his brothers came from the same womb.
Yet they followed different paths.
Before you blame your parents, environment, country or any other person, the first culprit is you, yes you!
You choose.
Solomon messed up at the end of his days, his son Jeroboam follow suit, then Jeroboam's son took over and he also committed the sins as his father. However here comes his son Asa, and what is his record:
1 Kings 15:11
Asa did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, as his ancestor David had done.
From Solomon to Rehoboam to Abijim, but when it got to his turn, Asa choose to do what was pleasing to the Lord.
It is your choice dear one, that is why there is a judgment. If there was no choice there will be no judgment!
Enough of doing evil then expecting the Lord to look away, you carry so much evil, hatred and conspiracies in your heart, yet you join others for daily prayers, halleluyah challenges, deliverance services, programmes here and there, your heart which is what God asks of you is still far away from Him.
Do you even reason?
Have you ever sat down to reason about God, the Almighty?
Do you think you can deceive Him or play smart with Him.
We will get to the story of King Ahab, we will learn that you cannot play smart with God.
I wonder when I see people's behaviours and intentions, is it that they do not understand that it is the heart the Lord looks out for?
Stop the excuses, you are what you want to be, you chose that lifestyle, that hatred, that jealousy, those lies, those backbiting, betrayal, wickedness, yes, you chose it!
Those absurd prophets will tell you that it is that person in your family, that inlaw, that colleague etc that is after you, but almost all the time it is a blatant lie! You are your own persecutor and afflicter, you chose wrongly.
God told Cain:
Genesis 4:6-7
“Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected?
You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”
Stop this evil, you have been warned times without number, it has gotten so bad that you shun God's Spirit in you, you keep feeding the evil with more of it's food and you wonder why it keeps coming again and again.
Kill it.
Colossians 3:5-10
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.
You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.
But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
O help us Good Lord.
Let me always choose right.
I am Yours Lord forever, I do not go to judgment but commendation. Amen.
PRAYER
Loving Father, help me to choose right at all times, no matter what the enemy brings to me may I always reject and stay with what is from You. I choose righteousness, peace and joy in Your Holy Spirit for that is Your kingdom content. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
