HOW DO YOU SEE?

John 21:1-2,4,7

Later, Jesus appeared again to the disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. This is how it happened.

Several of the disciples were there—Simon Peter, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples.

At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was.

Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed to shore.

So there was the Peter who was getting to know the Lord in the flesh and Peter who knew the Lord in the spirit.

The bible accounts that Peter and the disciples saw him and they were not certain it was the Lord.

One thing we need to understand is that when Jesus came to the earth his physical appearance and form did not depict His might, power or spiritual self, he just looked like any man.

Isaiah 53 : 2 & 3

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

So we see in 2Corinthians 5 : 16

" Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more. "

The Peter who was focused on the physicality of Christ began to sink because his eyes left Jesus. Now the Peter who was focused on Christ in the Spirit could be taken out of prison by angels passing through locked gates to freedom. He could perform miracles, mighty wonders and had boldness to minister and speak for Christ even in the face of death.

Today we see the same errors, we see people who idolize pictures (Jesus the Christ has no picture and you can not differentiate his appearance from any Jew of his time, the soldiers and those who came to arrest him couldn't),  elementals and even man to have a boost of faith, this will always cause drowning and this is not the faith of the spirit. That was why Jesus taught the Samaritans saying:

John 4:23 & 24

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.

The question is "What are you looking at?" What have we based our faith on? There has been a lot of incomplete and erroneous teaching from the time secular leadership took over authority or infiltrated the church. However the Spirit of God is yet active to set free all that is willing to live the truth. Jesus said that this is what He came to do:

John 16:13

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 17:17

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Every believer must ask this question. What am I focused on?

John 3 : 6 & 7

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

OUR SALVATION IS OF THE SPIRIT NOT OF THE FLESH!

I see deliverance from every form of idolatry, I see a deliverance from the flesh consciousness, I see believers that live, walk and see in the spirit.

O help us Good Lord.

Wake up, begin to see in the Spirit.

PRAYER

Loving Father my salvation is from You, not of any man or any sect or any religion. You saved me and empowered me to be Your son, keep me in faith Lord that I will have no form of idolatry. May I and all the brethren serve You faithfully no matter what part of the world we are. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.
