LET THEM KNOW

1 Samuel 10:25

Then Samuel told the people what the rights and duties of a king were. He wrote them down on a scroll and placed it before the Lord. Then Samuel sent the people home again.


Reading through scriptures we understand that we need a guide as we go through our time here on earth. The guide is to ensure that we do everything in order and also avoid regrets.


We speak so much about civilization today, however, we must remember that civilization had come a long time ago, and it keeps being renewed season after season.


Nothing should stop proper issuing of instructions.


The chaos we have today is majorly because of lack of proper instructions to our young people, therefore chaos is imminent.


Just as we saw in the book of Judges, when there was no king in Israel and the people ignored God as their king, abominations took place.


Proverbs 4:1-2

My children, listen when your father corrects you. 

Pay attention and learn good judgment, for I am giving you good guidance. 

Don’t turn away from my instructions.


Listen parents, especially you fathers, it is your duty to instruct your children, you are to lead them in the path of righteousness from their tender ages. Do not delay!


Proverbs 10-13

My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life.

I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths.

When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble.

Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. 

Guard them, for they are the key to life.


As believers, we are children of the Almighty God, we receive instructions from Him through His Son, Jesus the Christ, the Word of God. He has embedded His word in scriptures, the Bible as we call it today.


He didn't stop there, He filled us with His Spirit so that we can live, holy and blessed lives.


We must let them know.


We do not send people out into an assignment without proper instructions. The Lord has not sent us out without proper instructions.


As we see with Saul when he was made king:

Also when Joshua became leader:


Joshua 1:8

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.


So also for everyone who has come to life through Christ Jesus, Jesus said:


John 17:14a

I have given them your word. 


Paul explained:


2 Timothy 2:15

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.


We must let them know, yes, let them know the word of God and walk in His righteousness, that we may all excel in our assignment and in our life here on earth.


Help us Good Lord.


PRAYER

Loving Father, Your word I have hidden in my heart, I will not sin against You, instead I will be faithful and fulfill my purpose. Lead me on Lord, prosper me in all good things. I will obey your instructions and I will lead all I influence by Your instructions. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us? MY YEAR OF FULFILMENT

Psalms 57:2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. We just finished the book of 1Samuel, in this book we see the cry of Israel for a king and how God raised Saul to rule them. We also saw how Saul disobeyed God and lost kingship for himself and his generation. He did not stop there, he went on to seek for the death of David, whom he saw as the next heir of the throne. In chapter 31, the last chapter, we see how Saul and all his sons and men were killed, it was tragic, however it was as a sign of relief for David. We could go on counting all the struggles and difficulties we faced in the past year. No, we should not, we should begin to look at all the positives, remembering all the good things God has done for us. If He promised it, He will do it and that is what we hold onto as we go through this year.
