DON'T PUSH THEM TO THE ENEMY

1 Samuel 27:1,4,12

But David kept thinking to himself, “Someday Saul is going to get me. The best thing I can do is escape to the Philistines. Then Saul will stop hunting for me in Israelite territory, and I will finally be safe.”

Word soon reached Saul that David had fled to Gath, so he stopped hunting for him.

Achish believed David and thought to himself, “By now the people of Israel must hate him bitterly. Now he will have to stay here and serve me forever!”


How many times have we driven others to the camp of the enemy because of our actions or inactions?


Saul kept on coming at David to kill him to the point when David had to run to the enemy's camp to find succour.


How are you treating your children, your spouse, your employees, your members, your people, all those who are in your circle of influence?


Are you showing love and leading aright or are you visionless, selfish and only looking for personal gain? Have you allowed hate and envy to eat you up?


We are to be the channel through whom the Lord reaches out to others and NOT tools for the enemy to snatch them away.


2 Corinthians 5:20

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”


Anyone who comes in contact with you should be able to reach God through you.


Jesus said:


Matthew 5:14,16

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.


Our life, including words and actions should be leading all to the Heavenly Father and not away from Him.


For David, he was strong enough to stay faithful to his people even in the land of the enemy, he had to lie and do cover ups through the period. However for the believer it may not be that easy, for the enemy here is not mere flesh and blood but principalities and powers.


Ephesians 6:12

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.


May we never be pushed to the camp of the enemy, may we never push anyone to the camp of the enemy.


Help us Good Lord.


PRAYER

Loving Father, may all I think, say or do, lead me and all who are associated with me to You. I and they have no business with the camp of the enemy. I am Your ambassador Lord, may I fulfill my purpose continually. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
