SONG OF VICTORY
Judges 5:1-3,31
On that day Deborah and Barak son of Abinoam sang this song:
“Israel’s leaders took charge, and the people gladly followed.
Praise the Lord!
“Listen, you kings! Pay attention, you mighty rulers!
For I will sing to the Lord. I will make music to the Lord, the God of Israel.
“Lord, may all your enemies die like Sisera!
But may those who love you rise like the sun in all its power!” Then there was peace in the land for forty years.
The song of victory should be in the mouth of all who expect a victory, for soon they would have course to sing it.
Deborah was judge in Israel at the time when they were under oppression. Remember that this oppression was allowed because of their disobedience:
Judges 4:1-4
After Ehud’s death, the Israelites again did evil in the lord’s sight.
So the Lord turned them over to King Jabin of Hazor, a Canaanite king. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth-haggoyim.
Sisera, who had 900 iron chariots, ruthlessly oppressed the Israelites for twenty years. Then the people of Israel cried out to the lord for help.
Deborah, the wife of Lappidoth, was a prophet who was judging Israel at that time.
In the midst of the sinful nation, she stood out as a prophet and judge. She had a good testimony.
The environment should Not determine our position or service to God, instead our position and service to God, should influence our environment and change the narrative.
The power of the strong man must be brought down if we find some that will give themselves wholly to the Lord.
We want to hear the songs of victory in our land, we want the chaos to be over, the confusion and perversion to come to an end, we must have those who will arise, filled with God's Spirit and wisdom and are blameless that the enemy cannot find a fault. They are the ones who will lead us to sing the song of victory.
Truly all will Not be perfect till Christ is revealed as the King when He comes to reign, taking over the whole earth, however, we can yet have "a peace" as the Lord intervenes in present situations.
Can we arise to our call. Starting from that position we occupy in our homes then our community (s)
Remember the victory song is after the war, for the war brings victory.
We are victorious in Christ Jesus.
PRAYER
Dear Lord lead me to victory as I am led by You to triumph over all the enemies. The song of victory I will sing because I come forth victorious. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
