PROOF OF YOUR FAITHFULNESS

Judges 3:1-6

These are the nations that the Lord left in the land to test those Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Canaan.
He did this to teach warfare to generations of Israelites who had no experience in battle.
These are the nations: the Philistines (those living under the five Philistine rulers), all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the mountains of Lebanon from Mount Baal-hermon to Lebo-hamath.
These people were left to test the Israelites—to see whether they would obey the commands the Lord had given to their ancestors through Moses.
So the people of Israel lived among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites,
and they intermarried with them. Israelite sons married their daughters, and Israelite daughters were given in marriage to their sons. And the Israelites served their gods.

It is one one thing to say who you are, it is another to prove it.

I can say "I love you", but how do I prove it?

By my actions!

The children of Israel still had nations left around them instead of them being completely wiped away, they were actually the cause of it, for the refused to have enough discipline and faith to wipe them all out, thus the Lord left them there.

Our scriptures today records that God allowed them to be to test the faithfulness of the people of Israel. Also to make them understand the true battles that exist. The generation coming had not experienced the wars that brought about their victory.

Without war, there is no victory!

Yes some things attributed to God in the old testament may not be fully of God, since the works of Satan was not really revealed till when Christ came, however what is a temptation from the enemy can be a test from God.

You see this through earlier scriptures. One example is Joseph's brother's plot against him and more clearer Potiphar's wife temptation!

We must prove whatever we profess.

Listen, I always say this, when it comes to temptations and tests, God Himself as man on earth, was tested. Yes, Christ was tested, who are you not to be. You must prove what you profess, your work must go through the fire.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15
But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.
If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.
But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

This is why you must be resolute, don't say one thing then think another and then act another.

Many people suffer because they keep lying to themselves and others. They say one thing but their heart is thinking another, so they build up evil within themselves and no one can help them because they have become good at hiding it!

Remember everything hidden will yet be exposed.

You must prove your faithfulness.

The children of Israel is an example of what believers should not be:

Judges 3:7,12
The Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight. They forgot about the Lord their God, and they served the images of Baal and the Asherah poles.
Once again the Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight, and the Lord gave King Eglon of Moab control over Israel because of their evil.

They were unsteady, they will sin against the Lord then when the punishment comes, they cry out to God, He sends deliverance, when the deliverer is gone, they return again to sin.

No! This should not be our testimony, NO!

We must be faithful no matter the weather.

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Your mind should always be on God and not on your ego, pride or seeking relevance.

Stay faithful.

Help us Good Lord.

PRAYER
Loving Father keep me in faithfulness, turn my weakness to strength that I will remain faithful to You forever in all things. I walk in Your truth Lord, may I continually please You in all things. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.
