REMAIN IN HIM
1 John 2:24-27
So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.
And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us.
I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray.
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
Glory to God, you cannot afford to go out of Him.
Listen, that is the whole target of the enemies' battle. To separate you from the Father.
That is what he did in the beginning, we see it in record of scriptures, even when Christ came and even when the gospel began, he is still in the business today.
John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,
So are you going to do this by your power? No, however you must be willing, that has been the instruction from the beginning even in the time of the law:
Isaiah 1:19 (kjv)
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Someone asked: "We say Christ has done it all, why do we have requirements?"
They should understand that the fact that Christ did all for us, does not make Him the one to accept what He has done, we have to accept it.
I could decide to give out a scholarship, however it means nothing to the one who refuses to accept it or do the process of receiving it. Also, if you refused to follow the process, then you don't get it.
It is that simple, you are either for Him or you are not. You cannot be for Him and also be for the world or the enemy, it doesn't work that way.
Our duty is to accept Him, then remain in Him.
John 15:4
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
How do you accept Him? By releasing your will to Him. This you achieve by first accepting His salvation then presenting your body as a living sacrifice.
How do you remain in Him? By submitting to His Spirit.
For Christ leaves in us by His Spirit. Glory to God.
So dear brethren, let us not be deceived, we must remain in Him if we are truly His.
Help us Good Lord.
PRAYER
Dear Lord, in You I live, move and have my being. I am safe in Your Holy care. Let Thy Spirit control all areas of my life. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
