TEACH THEM

Deuteronomy 11:2,5,7,19

Keep in mind that I am not talking now to your children, who have never experienced the discipline of the Lord your God or seen his greatness and his strong hand and powerful arm.

“Your children didn’t see how the Lord cared for you in the wilderness until you arrived here.

But you have seen the Lord perform all these mighty deeds with your own eyes!

Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.


Moses told the people that his message was to those who were there from the exodus from Egypt. Though they were young then, they were old enough to see God's mighty power. They witnessed God's power as they journeyed and also saw their fathers perish because of rebellion.


Now, those young ones then are now the elders of today, they have the duty to teach the children.


Are you a parent, are you an elder in the group or church, are you a leader?


You have a responsibility!


You who have gone through the years as a believer should be a teacher now, leading the young ones aright teaching them the word and showing them good examples.


It is not just a title but a responsibility for every one who has matured in the faith.


We must understand that there is only two sides to the coin:


Deuteronomy 11:26-28

“Look, today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse!

You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today.

But you will be cursed if you reject the commands of the Lord your God and turn away from him and worship gods you have not known before.


We must understand this and let our children and those under us understand too.


Once you come to the Father it is His way that should prevail not that of the world.


Deuteronomy 11:31-32

For you are about to cross the Jordan River to take over the land the lord your God is giving you. When you take that land and are living in it,

you must be careful to obey all the decrees and regulations I am giving you today.


We must live for Him and as watchers, lead the younger ones in faith to do likewise.


Enough of playing around and chasing vanities.


We will fulfill our purpose, we will lead the children aright.


Help us Good Lord.


PRAYER

Lord I choose obedience to you, I will remain faithful and I will lead my children thus. Father You are glorified in my life forever. Glory to Your name Lord.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
