ROUND IN CIRCLES
Numbers 21:10-11,19-20
The Israelites traveled next to Oboth and camped there.
Then they went on to Iye-abarim, in the wilderness on the eastern border of Moab.
Nahaliel, and Bamoth.
After that they went to the valley in Moab where Pisgah Peak overlooks the wasteland.
The Israelites seemed to just keep going round in circles!
One of the great things to happen to a believer is to receive direction from the Lord concerning any part of their lives.
When the Lord does this, it makes everything easy, no dilly-dallying concerning the issue but surging right ahead with the assurance and power to breakthrough.
The Israelites had this type of advantage, the Lord was ready to take them with the same power and zeal to take over the land flowing with milk and honey, but the people chose unbelieve and rebellion.
Numbers 14:7-10
They said to all the people of Israel, “The land we traveled through and explored is a wonderful land!
And if the Lord is pleased with us, he will bring us safely into that land and give it to us. It is a rich land flowing with milk and honey.
Do not rebel against the Lord, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. They are only helpless prey to us! They have no protection, but the Lord is with us! Don’t be afraid of them!”
But the whole community began to talk about stoning Joshua and Caleb. Then the glorious presence of the Lord appeared to all the Israelites at the Tabernacle.
Some of us as believers have also made the same mistake of not taking advantage of the Lord's direction concerning certain areas of our lives, then we wander why it seems we are going round in circles.
It is one thing for the Lord to direct us, it is another for us to hear, listen and take action.
I personally believe that the Lord gives us "free hand" to live our lives here on earth. However we must acknowledge Him and obey His commands. As I always say, yes you may have the liberty to do anything or make any decision. However, you have no power over it's consequences!
Our popular verse in the book of Proverbs says:
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Let us come back to the Father.
Remember:
Psalms 37:23-24
The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
John 14:17-18
He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.
John 16:13
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
No matter the mistakes, no matter where we have failed, the beautiful thing about the Father's love and the sacrifice of Christ is that His arms are wide open to take us back.
Let us come again, let us listen to obey. We return to the Lord!
Lead us, Heavenly Father, lead us.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I know that the earth is Yours and the fullness thereof, lead me Loving Father, forgive those times when I have not obeyed Your leading, I yield to Your direction today. You said Your burden is easy and light, I take it up Dear Father, I will prosper and increase in all good things, truly I will please You in all things. Glory to Your name forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
