ARE YOU ENLISTED

Numbers 4:49

When their names were recorded, as the Lord had commanded through Moses, each man was assigned his task and told what to carry. And so the registration was completed, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Everyone who comes to the Heavenly Father through the only way, Christ Jesus is assured of everlasting life.

John 3:16

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

However, to receive a reward you must have done a good work and to do the good work you have to be assigned.

Revelation 20:12

I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

Luke 12:43

If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward.

Salvation is free, however you only receive a reward for the work you have done!

Ephesians 2:8-9

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

1 Peter 1:17

And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

So the first question is? Are you saved, have you come to God through Christ Jesus the only way?

Without this there is no salvation and you cannot be assured of eternal life.

Acts 4:11-12

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,

‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

The next is, have you received your assignment, do you know your roles/duties?

It is when you know and do them that you receive a reward.

Listen, all good deeds are the norm for believers they carry a reward!

However, there are also specific assignments that the Lord has for each and everyone, they are to be carried out to enable us to be relevant in the kingdom and to receive the reward.

The assignment doesn't have to be that great missionary trip to the outskirts of the earth, No, the assignment varies per person. It is not how large it looks but how well we carry it out.

One thing is certain, the Lord gives His grace per measure of how large your assignment is.

Paul understood his assignment, thus when he has completed it, he could say:

2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.

And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

Are you enlisted, are you doing your work, are you on your assignment?

Your assignment could be in your family, your work place, your school, your local community, your region/state or even your country.

We must be about our assignment. Even when we rest, we arise and continue, it is not over till we finish the assignment.

Many have finished one assignment and have been assigned another, some have a lifelong assignment, no matter the case we must be about it.

Remember what we said in yesterday's study, you don't have to be in the limelight to show that you are on your duty, doing your work, No, the callings and assignments differ.

The Lord give us more understanding.

PRAYER

Help us Dear Father to understand the assignment and be about it. May we finish well here and receive our reward both here on earth and in the world to come. Glory to Your name Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love

@the watcher.
