AFTER THE OFFERINGS

Numbers 7: 84 & 89

So this was the dedication offering brought by the leaders of Israel at the time the altar was anointed: twelve silver platters, twelve silver basins, and twelve gold incense containers.

Each silver platter weighed 31/4 pounds, and each silver basin weighed 13/4 pounds.

Whenever Moses went into the Tabernacle to speak with the lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that rests on the Ark of the Covenant. The Lord spoke to him from there.

All the tribes had now brought their offerings to the Lord. To show appreciation after the dedication of the tabernacle.

Something happened after that:

God bagan to speak from the midst of the cherubim.

When we bring our offerings, we are able to experience His presence. Why is God present if there is nothing offered.

God's presence is needed if we are doing His will.

John 8:29

And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.”

The only reason why God should be present is because I am involved in His business.

Why would the greatest king at that time be interested in a slave boy locked away in prison by his palace guard?

Genesis 41:14

Pharaoh sent for Joseph at once, and he was quickly brought from the prison. After he shaved and changed his clothes, he went in and stood before Pharaoh.

Also Why would the greatest king at that time, who had conquered so many countries be interested in a young boy who was a captive from a small country, he even bowed to him and worshipped him?

Daniel 2:46-47

Then King Nebuchadnezzar threw himself down before Daniel and worshiped him, and he commanded his people to offer sacrifices and burn sweet incense before him.

The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is the greatest of gods, the Lord over kings, a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this secret.”

They had something special, they had something to offer, they had the solution to the problem!

Why was Christ interested in Saul who become Paul.

Acts 8:3

But Saul was going everywhere to destroy the church. He went from house to house, dragging out both men and women to throw them into prison.

Acts 9:4-6

He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”

“Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting!

Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Saul was zealous for the Lord but he didn't have the truth. So are many who persecute believers today in the name of religion. He had to become Paul with the truth to put his zeal to good use.

He encountered Christ and His zeal was put into good use.

To be relevant in a kingdom you have to have your role, what you do that makes you part of that kingdom. Every minister has an assignment for even the king himself is busy.

Jesus said:

John 5:17

But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

So dear one of God, what are you offering, what is your work, how are you contributing to God's kingdom on earth?

No role is insignificant, every offering is important as far as it is without defect and from a sincere heart.

The Lord's presence remains with the giver and we have his audience again and again.

Glory to God forevermore.

PRAYER

I enter your presence Lord with thanksgiving in my heart, I enter Your courts with praise. I bring an offering of me and all You have given me. May I continue to bear fruit that abide Dear Lord.

He calls us blessed.
