THE BLOOD

Leviticus 17:11,14

for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the lord. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible.

The life of every creature is in its blood. That is why I have said to the people of Israel, ‘You must never eat or drink blood, for the life of any creature is in its blood.’ So whoever consumes blood will be cut off from the community.

Moses' instruction concerning the blood saw him declare from God that the life of every creature is in it's blood. This is why blood sacrifices take place, it is the life of the person or animal that is given.

Thus in eating blood we take up the form of that life!

Now let us understand it, many have become careless as believers because of the liberty we have in Christ Jesus, however, spiritual discipline cannot be trivialized. There is life in blood and we must not take it for granted.

So let us come to the blood that was shed which carries a divine life, the one we are allowed and welcomed to take.

Hebrews 12:24

You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.

Matthew 26:28

for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.

The blood of Jesus the Christ is the only one that stands out as life, divine life indeed and this is the one we as believers have taken it  and the blood stays in us.

We must not corrupt ourselves with any other blood. Have no covenant with any other, No!

Listen the blood taking is not literal, for instance having a blood transfusion in the hospital due to an emergency. No. It is a spiritual transaction.

John 6:53-55

So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you.

But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.

Glory to God.

I remember as a little child when I encountered Christ and He offered Himself to me, I had little knowledge of it at that time. Every believer must partake in that divine communion.

We must all partake in His blood and flesh to have eternal life, for life was lost at the fall of man.

Many shout out "the blood of Jesus" again and again when they encounter evil situations. However that is not what the blood of Jesus is for. His name is what we call at those times. It may be that they are declaring that they are covered by the blood, if so, then it is understandable. However many have taking it as something to joke about. We must be careful.

The blood is for your ingestion, to cleanse you and give you life. It is not the sword or the authority. 

May believers receive understanding!

Ephesians 1:7

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

1 John 1:7

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

What a sacrifice, what a gain we have when we come to Christ, we receive cleansing and citizenship in God's kingdom.

Wake up today and live the life you have by the cleansing and regenerating power of the blood of Jesus shed for us. Victory is ours forever.

PRAYER:

Begin to pray now, ask God to bring you into the life you have by the blood of Christ released to you. Ask God to awaken you from every spiritual slumber that you may manifest the power of His Glory in this time that you live on earth. Declare your victory as you step out today.

Glory to God forevermore.
