CLEANSING AND RESTORATION

Leviticus 14:40-42

the priest must order that the stones from those areas be removed. The contaminated material will then be taken outside the town to an area designated as ceremonially unclean.

Next the inside walls of the entire house must be scraped thoroughly and the scrapings dumped in the unclean place outside the town.

Other stones will be brought in to replace the ones that were removed, and the walls will be replastered.

There is a book about the believer's journey on earth, it is called: "the pilgrim's progress" it is a Christian allegory written in 1678 by John Bunyan.

The story talked of a christian's journey from the city of destruction to the celestial city. What I am interested in when referring to this story is that the believer encounters so many challenges on the journey, however none of them should cut the journey off.

In our study today, we see how Moses instructed the people and the priest on how to deal with contamination in their houses. Firstly, things inside it must be removed to avoid it becoming unclean, then an inspection, followed by removing affected parts and replacing them with new ones, then finally replastering.

As we journey on as believers, it is possible to get contaminated along the way, you do not ignore it, you treat it following all the precautions, time is also needed for proper purification, then you continue with the journey.

Listen, most of the decay and lackadaisical attitudes that has developed in the body is as a result of taking so many things for granted. We often hear things like "IT DOESN'T MATTER". We allow things keep going wrong till it gets out of hand.

It shouldn't be that way!

We must treat all contamination, and wipe everywhere clean for we know what "the little leaven", does to the entire loaf!

Galatians 6:1

Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

1 John 5:16-18

If you see a fellow believer sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give that person life. But there is a sin that leads to death, and I am not saying you should pray for those who commit it.

All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death.

We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.

Remember that it is one body, any contamination will affect every part of the body one way or the other.

The best cure is always - Prevention. To keep a healthy church we must feed the right food, supplements, hygiene and of course spiritual exercises.

What is the component of your gatherings? Many have stopped attending because they do not see the difference between the supposed spiritual gatherings to club meetings, concerts, fashion shows and other secular gatherings. Some have gone sour by being an imitation of what takes place in a sorcerer's den. This should not be so.

We need to get things right. Take the shackles off and let the Spirit of God lead.

Remember:

Philippians 2:15

so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

2 Peter 3:14

And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.

Wake up christian leaders, there is work to be done.

Wake up fathers and mothers, the work is still on.

Oh cleanse us O Lord, purify us day after day may we always have our garments spotless and our bodies ready for You.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love

@the watcher.
