CHRIST SANCTIFIED US - LIBERTY
Leviticus 12:2,5
“Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. If a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son, she will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her menstrual period.
If a woman gives birth to a daughter, she will be ceremonially unclean for two weeks, just as she is unclean during her menstrual period. After waiting sixty-six days, she will be purified from the bleeding of childbirth.
1 Corinthians 6:11
Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Hebrews 10:10
For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.
What a great victory Christ won for us, His blood keeps us pure and we no longer need all these physical ceremonial cleansings. The blood of Christ cleanses us from all uncleanliness.
1 John 1:7
But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
We need to be grateful for the sacrifice that set us free from the power of sin and death. The Heavenly Father no longer sees us as defiled but as holy and acceptable. We are now seen through the eyes of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
We are not trying to justify ourselves in trying to keep the laws or doing the rituals, NO! We are justified in Christ and we are now living the new life we have in Him. Selah
2 Corinthians 5:15
He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
We entered the kingdom when He birthed us again by His Spirit:
John 3:5-7
Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.
Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.
So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’
So, is anyone calling you unclean, is anyone calling you defiled, don't accept it, come to Christ He cleanses and makes whole. Hold on to what He has done and be free.
John 8:36
So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.
Let's give Him praise today as we celebrate our liberty, throw away all those negative doubts and fear.
Live and walk in the victory Christ has won for us.
"He has won it, my salvation
My forgiveness at the cross
He brings healing, great redemption
For whoever would come
He has won"
(from "He has won it" by Hillsong)
Glory to God forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
