PREPARING HIS TABERNACLE

Exodus 37:2,4,16,23

He overlaid it inside and outside with pure gold, and he ran a molding of gold all around it.

Then he made poles from acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

Then he made special containers of pure gold for the table—bowls, ladles, jars, and pitchers—to be used in pouring out liquid offerings.

He also made seven lamps for the lampstand, lamp snuffers, and trays, all of pure gold.

So much was put into the building of the tabernacle, the place where the Lord would meet with the people.

All the materials were either pure gold or overlaid with gold.

Today we know that God dwells in the tabernacle not made with human hands:

Acts 7:48-49

However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says,

‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.

Could you build me a temple as good as that?’ asks the Lord.

‘Could you build me such a resting place?

God dwells in us by His Spirit.

So today just as the tabernacle was carefully built, we build ourselves to allow God's presence live with us:

Revelation 3:20

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

Romans 12:1

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,

for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

So we must prepare our bodies with pue gold and overlay all other parts with gold.

Some may ask: "what do you mean?"

1 Corinthians 3:11-17

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.

Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw.

But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.

If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.

But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

Our bodies are the temple of God and must reflect the nature and presence of God, thus we must get rid of anything that will defile it and only allow the character that pleases God.

These character and nature is that which when tested by fire cannot be burnt. Sin defiles the body.

We know that:

Galatians 5:22-25

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

This is the real building of the temple of God.

Are you part of that temple? Are you of pure and overlaid gold?

Your fruits will be evident.

Matthew 7:16a

You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act.

What fruit do you bear, what is the content of your heart and subconsciousness? Are you the temple of the Lord?

We can get it right today!

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
