DON'T GO WITHOUT GOD

Exodus 33:15-16

Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place.

How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”


The world try to convince man of is his independence from God. That is the enemy's line from the beginning.


The conversion with the woman at the garden was about man being like God, emphasizing that man is self sufficient on his own and does not need the Heavenly Father!


Genesis 3:1,4-5

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman.

“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”


It was a false promise of liberation that many yet fall into today. Man was already created in God's image and had God's authority here on earth, all submitted to him. In disobedience man lost that authority and also lost life.


The wise man wrote:


Proverbs 3:5-7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. 

Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.


It is wisdom to trust in the Lord, He has the final say and no other power comes close to Him.


At the time of Moses, God was not revealed for who He was, thus Moses said:


Exodus 33:18

Moses responded, “Then show me your glorious presence.”


This has always been the request of atheists, they say, if God is real let Him show Himself.


However God has shown Himself through all He has created.


God has showed Himself through Christ Jesus who walked the earth.


God has showed Himself in our hearts.


No one can behold His face with the physical form and live.


Exodus 33:19-20

The Lord replied, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.

But you may not look directly at my face, for no one may see me and live.”


It will take the Spirit to see God who is Spirit.


This is why:


John 4:24

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”


Do not go on without God, for God is ready to lead us if we will submit.


We go with the Lord, and we are sure that we have total victory.


Let no one pull you to where the Lord will not lead you, let no one convince us that we can do it on our own. Many of them have their trust in one thing or the other. We have our trust in Him who is above all, we will not be deceived.


We trust in the Lord and we will never be disappointed.


Glory to God forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
