CLASSING THE PEOPLE

Leviticus 4:3,13,22,27

If the high priest sins, bringing guilt upon the entire community, he must give a sin offering for the sin he has committed. He must present to the Lord a young bull with no defects.

If the entire Israelite community sins by violating one of the Lord’s commands, but the people don’t realize it, they are still guilty.

If one of Israel’s leaders sins by violating one of the commands of the Lord his God but doesn’t realize it, he is still guilty.

If any of the common people sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands, but they don’t realize it, they are still guilty.

The Lord recognizes the various classes of people, yet the Lord is no respecter of persons.

It has to do with responsibility!

That is, the Lord would expect from you to the measure He has given you.

For example, if the Lord makes you king he expects more from you than a common man. The same yet applies if the Lord makes you priest, elder, leader, pastor, teacher, parent, Father or mother etc.

Your position is not just a title it is a responsibility and you must live up to it. Your position affects the people under that territory.

If the Lord gives you wealth it carries it's responsibilities too.

Christ said:

Luke 12:47-48

“And a servant who knows what the master wants, but isn’t prepared and doesn’t carry out those instructions, will be severely punished.

But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.

Leadership comes with responsibility: are you ready to stand up when the need arises?

Are you a worthy example?

Can you bear the burden?

Be careful under whose leadership you align. Their actions and decisions will affect you positively or adversely.

There are times you may not be able to control whose authority you are under but this most times is in secular things. However, here you can let the Lord be your ultimate authority. You don't have to suffer the prejudice or authority of an evil one, or anyone who makes a wrong decision. Emancipate yourself.

I always say this: "Christ brought you ought of bondage, let no religion, sect, human or spirit put you in bondage again.

Listen to Jesus:

Matthew 11:28-30

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Light yoke, but:

Matthew 23:4,6,9-10

They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.

And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues.

And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father.

And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah.

This verse causes arguments among spiritual parasites. However, it is as clear as any counsel!

You cannot do without spiritual guidance but know the Lord yourself. He saved you personally and not in conjunction with anyone else. This is why Paul wrote:

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

It is not about seeking for recognition or to seat in positions of authority, are you ready for responsibility? Are you ready for accountability?

Jesus asked Peter:

John 21:16

Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?”“Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.”“Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.

What class are you? Are you fulfilling your purpose, are you taking care of your responsibility, are you a good example?

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
