RESTRICTED ACCESS

Exodus 24:2,13,18

Only Moses is allowed to come near to the Lord. The others must not come near, and none of the other people are allowed to climb up the mountain with him.”

So Moses and his assistant Joshua set out, and Moses climbed up the mountain of God.

Then Moses disappeared into the cloud as he climbed higher up the mountain. He remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

As I said earlier as we went through the book of Genesis and now Exodus, we see that man seemed to move farther and farther away from God. Adam at the beginning had direct link and relationship with God but after he fell the gap seemed to widen farther and farther away as time kept moving on.

However in each century or do I say generation there arose one who was able to get God's attention, through that one God related or reached out to man. Till it got to Abraham when God wanted to build a nation through whom the Messiah(the salvation) of man would be revealed. Israel was that nation.

This is why a covenant needed to be established. There needed to be terms of agreement, such that the people would know their boundaries and how to remain in the covenant.

As the Lord was to manifest at Sinai, there was a boundary set, anyone who crosses the boundary was to be put to death:

Exodus 19:21-23

Then the Lord told Moses, “Go back down and warn the people not to break through the boundaries to see the Lord, or they will die.

Even the priests who regularly come near to the Lord must purify themselves so that the Lord does not break out and destroy them.”

“But Lord,” Moses protested, “the people cannot come up to Mount Sinai. You already warned us. You told me, ‘Mark off a boundary all around the mountain to set it apart as holy.’”

The boundary remained as we will see as we continue through the old testament scriptures, until Christ was revealed.

If only we understand what Christ came to do, we would not take our faith lightly. We will not allow the temporary things of this world to becloud our minds, and steal our rich fellowship with the Heavenly Father.

Christ came to remove the boundary and give us direct access to the Heavenly Father.

John 4:22-26

You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”

Then Jesus told her, “i am the Messiah!”

Christ came to remove that boundary, that ignorance of who really the Heavenly Father was and then make all of us who believe, sons!

John 1:12-13

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

I have written on who Christ really is. His humility and accessibility make some to take Him lightly, some dare to call Him just a prophet others dare to put Him at per with angels and some dare to place Him with another mediator. They all got it wrong.

John 1:14,18

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

John 10:30

The Father and I are one.”

The only revelation of the Heavenly Father to the world was Christ Jesus.

He removed the boundary.

Ephesians 2:18

Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

The writer of Hebrews could write by the power of the Holy Spirit:

Hebrews 4:16

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Actually we are the ones who build the boundaries again. Man made "religion" is intended to put man in bondage again.

The boundary remain when we hold on to religion and the practice of men, however when we come to God's salvation which is only in Christ Jesus the boundary is removed and we can be called the sons of God.

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For,There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

Acts of the Apostles 4:11-12

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,

‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Are you saved, then you are free. If you are not, what are you waiting for? Come to Him now, yes, now, right where you are!

Then walk in His righteousness and obedience that you do not set the boundaries again.

No more restricted access, Christ reconciled us to the Heavenly Father!

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.
