FOR GOD - BRING BACK THE ALTAR
Exodus 26:30,34
“Set up this Tabernacle according to the pattern you were shown on the mountain.
“Then put the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—on top of the Ark of the Covenant inside the Most Holy Place.
Ephesians 6:8
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether [he be] bond or free.
We live in a world were love has been confused with foolishness and everyone seeks to take advantage of the other. Thus the bible talks of the love of many going cold. Trust seems to be an alien word because most times it is said but never practiced, people keep stabbing "their own" at the back.
2 Timothy 3:1-5a
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
One major cause of this is that man turned attention from God and focused on man. If we remember Cain, he took his attention from God in pleasing Him to envy resulting to hate of his brother and the next step was to eliminate him.
See scriptures:
1 John 3:11-12
This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous.
So instead of changing his ways to please God he turned to envy, to kill the opposition, the favourite one. Joseph's brothers thought the same way too. Instead of rejoicing with Joseph for a dream of elevation and for his righteous stand they planned to eliminate him.
Many subtle ways the enemy and the world lure people, even believers to hate one another, through envy, competitions, lust and pride. We must not fall into this trap.
James 4:1-3
What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?
You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.
And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.
Hate will eat into your heart till it destroys, meanwhile the person you are hating on may keep walking around with a free mind. Selah
Hello, be wise, set yourself free!
Even marriages are failing, the love and trust has been turned to laws, regulations and in some homes competition thrives. Spouses look at each other, instead of to God, parents, siblings and friends may not bring more love, they could even be stumbling blocks.
WHERE IS OUR ALTAR OF PRAYER?
What do we do then, how can we escape this evil? The answer is "FOR GOD!"
1 John 4:7-8
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Let us do it for God. Let it be about Him. It sounds so simple but really we must train ourselves to do it. That is why it was a commandment.
Matthew 22:37-38
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment.
We must not be found out of love, so that we are not out of God.
If we are in love, we are in God.
BRING BACK YOUR ALTAR OF PRAYER!
LET US LIVE FOR GOD, THEN WE CAN LOVE!
We must transform our minds and follow the Lord's instruction, see there is no sentiment with God, but obedience to His laws. Not laws of bondage but eternal laws of faith embedded in His grace.
For if You are not serious with God, why should He be serious with You.
Bring back the altar.
For if you are to have a pact with anyone, let it be with the Heavenly Father, He will never disappoint you.
Come back to walking with God, or begin if you never had. Talk with Him in that special space you have created for prayers. Talk with Him even as you move about your daily responsibilities. This is why the Holy Spirit came to dwell in You.
John 14:17
He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
Bring back the altar that the enemy would have no influence over you.
Live for God!
Help us Good Lord.
He calls us blessed.
Love
