FIGHTING A LOST BATTLE

Exodus 17:8,13,16

While the people of Israel were still at Rephidim, the warriors of Amalek attacked them.

As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.

He said, “They have raised their fist against the lord’s throne, so now the lord will be at war with Amalek generation after generation.”

One mistake to make is to fight the ones who are under God's protection, from the start it is already a lost battle!

However, when you read through scriptures you see that some always try.

After knowing of what the Lord did to the people of Egypt, the parting of the red sea, the destruction of the army of Egypt and the miracles in the wilderness, yet the warriors of the Amalekites thought they had a chance, that was a foolish decision, well, they paid for it.

It did not just end with them they had to keep paying for it till there was none of them left.

Exodus 17:14

After the victory, the Lord instructed Moses, “Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

Our duty is to stay faithful to the Lord, He will fight our battles, what we need to do in praise and prayer is to listen and follow His instructions.

Psalms 91:1-4

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the Lord:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.

He will cover you with his feathers.

He will shelter you with his wings.

His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

While we worry about why this or that has not been done for us, we have no clue the battles the Lord fights on our behalf. If we knew, our complains and whining will turn to praise.

O Lord I praise for You have me covered, You take care of me, therefore I do not need to worry.

All that come against God's own are fighting a lost battle!

Glory to Your name Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
