COMPLAINING

Exodus 15:24

Then the people complained and turned against Moses. “What are we going to drink?” they demanded.

The journey had just begun, yet heaps of miracles had been done, as the Israelites journeyed to the promise land.

Yet, the people complained.

It is true that thirst is excruciating, however, did they think that the Lord who brought them out of bondage and gave them great victory would allow them thirst to death?

We should ask ourselves this question too before we begin to complain.

Yes, before we complain, let us remember the testimonies. Tell them to the Lord, yes, tell them to the enemies!

Revelation 12:11a

And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.

When you praise God, you testify of His goodness, His power and His glory. Your praise includes all He has done for You. In doing this you are already declaring your victory.

Let us not make the same error they made, let us trust in the Lord. He who did it for us yesterday, can still do more for us today and the days to come.

Are you tempted to complain, STOP, praise instead. Then pray, Jesus said:

Matthew 6:31-33

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Just as God told the people of Israel:

Exodus 15:26

He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

Remember that the reason you can worry is because He allowed you to see the day! So praise and pray instead of worrying, God will take of you.

We walk in obedience.

Our victory is sure.

Glory to God forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
