WHO SENT YOU

Exodus 4:1,11-12,17

But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?”

Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the lord?

Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.”

And take your shepherd’s staff with you, and use it to perform the miraculous signs I have shown you.”

Do you know who sent you?

You wonder why many seem to have left the gospel of Christ (God's salvation) to follow something else. Some have gone after money, fame, relevance some have lost faith completely.

Further still, some have found religion! 

Some who ask what is wrong with religion. I will answer "religion is man-made", "salvation is God made". This is what Christ was explaining to the Samaritan woman.

John 4:21-24

Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.

You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

The problem is that people do not really know who called them, thus, they do not know who sent them. How then can they live a proper life and do a good job?

Romans 10:13-15

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved.”

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

One other problem there is, is the same the children of Israel who were freed from Egypt had (as we will see as we study further), they always seemed to forget!

They forgot who the Lord their God is, notwithstanding all the miracles signs and majorly the deliverance.

Don't supposed believer do the same today?

Our lifestyle and actions make it look as if we have never known the Lord. It is as if we do not trust Him. We could merely speak about Him but we neither represent Him or reflect His light.

Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Who called you, who sent you?

Some have even replaced God's place with a man!

That is what the children of Israel did with Moses, as we will see, it became a major stumbling block for them.

Exodus 32:1

When the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down the mountain, they gathered around Aaron. “Come on,” they said, “make us some gods who can lead us. We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses, who brought us here from the land of Egypt.”

You wonder that this happened just few days after they had given an oath to obey God and received the commandments from Him.

These things marvel us, it is an utmost ruthless unbelief!

But . . . Don't we do the same?

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

We know this, yet we form other idols and mediators for ourselves.

People do not seem to have the one on one relationship with the Heavenly Father. That is why there is so much chaos and undignifying things in our gathering. There is no "one purpose" or one heart.

We see people rushing to be part of a prayer or worship event or gathering only having one thing in mind. My miracle, my breakthrough etc.

There may be nothing wrong with that, however are their lives dedicated to the Lord.

Do they know who called them?

Pastors, ministers, evangelists, popes, bishops etc. Do those who listen to you or you minister to know who called them and who sent you to nourish them?

We must get it right.

Lord open our eyes and understanding, may we get it right.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
