LEARN FROM SCRIPTURES
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
We have looked at the fifty chapters recorded in the book of Genesis.
We learnt of the creation, Adam, Enoch, the flood, Noah, Abraham up till Joseph and much more.
What is our response to all these records? What have we learnt? What changes are we ready to make?
We see:
*The consequences of doing wrong
*The repercussion of wrong choices
and
* The blessings of doing right.
We see what happens when a person dedicates their life to the Lord. Also how the Lord can turn a slave overnight to a king.
Scriptures says:
Galatians 6:7
Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
So we understand what the book of Proverbs records:
Proverbs 3:5-7
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Notice how it seemed people kept being farther away from God after the fall, God's contact with man seemed to draw farther and farther apart. This actually continued, till when God revealed Himself again via Moses. God ensured that man was not totally away from Him. Israel was the link that will keep that bond, though they just couldn't be faithful, yet God kept on with them because it was not just about them it was about the whole world. Christ had to be revealed.
Recall Jacob's prophesy for Judah:
Genesis 49:10
The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from his descendants,
until the coming of the one to whom it belongs, the one whom all nations will honor.
All led to the salvation of the whole world through the Word of God Himself, Yeshua HaMaschiac, Jesus the Christ
Glory to God.
May we say like David:
Psalms 119:11
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Glory to God forevermore.
May we always please the Lord. He will continue to bless and keep us both in this life and the life to come.
The word will transform us for the better.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
