STILL ON UNITY

Genesis 11:1,6

At one time all the people of the world spoke the same language and used the same words.

“Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!


The Heavenly Father Himself declared the power of unity, a force that cannot be defeated.


Why do we fail as a people, it is simply because of disunity. We are not able to understand ourselves. 


One big tool for unity is love.


When Christ was praying for the church He requested that church have the type of unity He had with the Father:


John 17:21

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.


The Godhead is one and thus nothing is impossible. That is why when You read from creation, you hear:


. . . let us . . .


Genesis 1:26a

Then God said, “Let us  . . .


Genesis 11:7

Come, let’s go down and . . .


Disunity will bring down the family, an establishment, a people, a nation, Jesus said:


Mark 3:25 (kjv)

And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.


We need to think again before we destroy that oneness, that selfishness must be removed if the union will stand.


When the wise man was listing the things God hates, he included:


Proverbs 6:19b

a person who sows discord in a family.


Are you know for preserving good unity or for being the author of discord. We need to fix what we have destroyed and maintain that which is good.


Help us Good Lord.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
