GOD'S SPECIAL PERSON

1 Chronicles 16:22

“Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets.”

Psalms 105:15

“Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets.”

When you are under the cover of the Almighty, He takes care of all that concerns you including protecting you from being oppressed.

Many claim to be God's prophet, however, the ones that God uses do not need to announce themselves, God announces them.

For God to announce you, He must have chosen you and you must also be working in His obedience. We have many who speak of grace but do not practice obedience to what God instructs. Many do not even hear Him.

Abraham, who was the father of faith, still had his fears as a human. Caution comes natural to us, however we must not forget who keeps us.

Psalms 91:1-4

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the Lord:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.

He will cover you with his feathers.

He will shelter you with his wings.

His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Abraham did not take anything for granted. He did not just go headlong into dangerous situations.

It is like when little children go around looking for trouble, feeling that their dad would come fight for them. Most times it doesn't work that way.

The fact that you believe that you are God's own does not give you license to boast, threaten others or try to bully others.

We even have those who quickly want to curse others in the name of the Lord, feeling that they have the power to do so.

God entrusts His power to those who have the character of the Spirit. He will not allow you treat His glory with disdain.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

One beautiful about being God's own is that Christ has worked out a new formula for us. The people of old who put their trust in the Lord like Abraham also enjoyed a glimpse of it.

Paul expresses it thus:

Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

When God counts You as His own, You have a special cover.

So, we pray as believers that we can speak the things He has promised over us and also to keep the connection alive, that we do not fall into temptation.

I hide under Your canopy Dear Lord. I know You will fight my seen and unseen battles. Glory to Your name forever.

He calls us blessed.

Love
