WHERE ARE YOU?

Genesis 7:21-23

All the living things on earth died—birds, domestic animals, wild animals, small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people.

Everything that breathed and lived on dry land died.

God wiped out every living thing on the earth—people, livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and the birds of the sky. All were destroyed. The only people who survived were Noah and those with him in the boat.

Noah and those with him in the boat survived the flood. 

Where you are matters. Your position at every point in time will determine how situations and events affect you. If you are present at the place of favour, you enjoy it's blessings, however if you are found in the place of trouble, you could very well share in it.

This is why the believer must be led by God's Spirit, that we may know when to go, stop, wait or retrace our steps. The God we serve is the author of time, He knows the end from the beginning thus He knows how to guide us that we may not fall into temptations.

Psalms 37:23

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. 

He delights in every detail of their lives.

Adam was well secured under God's protection till He decided to walk in disobedience, thus his position was compromised, that is why God asked him:

Genesis 3:9

Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

Where are you?

In the secret place of the most High? Or just drifting by?

Christ is the secret place of the most High for He came out of God's very bosom:

John 1:18 

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

Where are you?

Your position will determine how events affect you. Many have fallen victims because they follow the wrong crowd or because they kept company with the supposed wealthy, some have even received attacks meant for them.

What are you doing in the seat of sinners, what are you doing in the company of those who do not know the Lord. You could very well join in the judgment against them.

Proverbs 1:15

My child, don’t go along with them! 

Stay far away from their paths.

Have you joined the enemy's camp consciously or unconsciously because of what you think you have to gain. Be wise, the enemy's gift is a time bomb.

Instead, stay in God's presence, walk with the righteous, don't be caught with the calamity of the wicked. Do not be trapped or decieived by the enemy.

Help us O Lord.

Keep us in Your secret place O Lord.

He calls us blessed.
