Punctuating the Genealogy

Genesis 5:22-24

After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for another 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

Enoch lived 365 years,

walking in close fellowship with God. Then one day he disappeared, because God took him.

Reading through the genealogy, the descendants of Adam starting from Seth, we see the names of those who came through the lineage. It remained a list of names and the years the lived till we get to Enoch it had to be punctuated because Enoch walked so much with God that God took him literally.

The question now comes to us. When the account of the work of believers are read for our generation, will we be mentioned? Can there be a pause, a punctuation to talk of our impact or walk with God?

What is your record? Have you fulfilled any purpose? Does the heavens recognize you? Will there be a continual manifestation of your works to outlive you?

1 Corinthians 3:13

But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.

Christ was caught up into heaven after His work. We all await to get caught up to Him also after our work here. We will not be disappointed.

No matter how occupied you become with the things of this life/world, remember that which is most important. Eternity is really a longtime.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
