ONE MAN STANDING

Genesis 6:9

This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.

Every being on earth was corrupted, none was found clean. Yet one man stood blameless.

You may not get the picture of it, until you try to compare with yourself. You are standing strong because you have encouragement from the church, your brethren, televised or social media ministries are available everywhere. There is something or someone who encourages you.

Listen,

Hebrews 10:25

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

For Noah, there was no such gathering.

Read again:

Genesis 6:11-12

Now God saw that the earth had become corrupt and was filled with violence.

God observed all this corruption in the world, for everyone on earth was corrupt.

Do you understand?

It means that when Noah gets up in the morning his next door neighbour was corrupt.

If he heads to farm all he will meet on the way were corrupt.

When he gets to his farm, all those who work for him and all surrounding farmers were corrupt.

It doesn't end there:

There was no scriptures for him to read, no gathering place for him to fellowship, no media broadcasting gospel messages.

YET HE WAS RIGHTEOUS!

Now, wait, understand this man's particulars.

Genesis 6:9

This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.

1. A righteous man

2. The only blameless man on earth.

3. He walked in close fellowship with God.

They are different things.

Now, look at what we have today, the gospel, edifying messages in all media, fellowship cells and synagogues here and there. There is no place you turn to that you do not find one form of encouragement or the other, yet supposed believers cannot be compared to Noah!

We live in a time after which Christ has redeemed us from the fall, and further more empowered us that we have power over the enemy, yet we find it hard to be faithful.

Christ made Himself our righteousness and the Heavenly Father released His Spirit to dwell in us yet we can't get close to the credentials of this man.

What is our excuse?

Instead many have messed up the holy call. So many false prophets and ministers here and there teaching what they have no clue of, only seeking to fill their lusts. People have formed cults in the name of Christ, living in sin in the secret then coming out to shout Christ.

Others do not even care, they celebrate sin as a daily sacrifice and dare to condemn others who they don't even compare to.

I ask this question, all these supposed/acclaimed men of God, how many of them can meet 50% of Noah's credentials, yet some have already elevated themselves to the place of God, on people's life's and demand reverence from fellow humans.

We cannot exhaust what we can learn from Noah.

What reward was he looking for?

He wasn't poor, he had everything, what stopped him from joining the rest of the world to be corrupt?

I believe it "is" the LOVE of God.

He never let go of His first love, the message was beautifully transferred through the generation from Adam to Seth to Enosh to Kenan all the way to Enoch all the way to Lamech then came Noah.

Do you know what his name means:

Genesis 5:29

Lamech named his son Noah, for he said, “May he bring us relief from our work and the painful labor of farming this ground that the lord has cursed.”

Brethren, are you still standing, or have you been corrupted by philosophy, religion, money, lust, what exactly has kept you from being righteous, blameless and walking closely with God?

It is every man to him or herself on the day of reckoning.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
