MAN'S COMPANION

Genesis 2:19-23

So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one.

He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him.

So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening.

Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.

“At last!” the man exclaimed. 

“This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! 

She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’”

Following God's order of things would have made all things good and perfect. However, in trying to explore and listening to the wrong leadings, man destroyed the good God made for him.

In the verses recorded in Genesis we see that man named all the animals, however, though they were a help to him, they could never be that real help he needed. Then the great Architect Himself brought about the solution, a true companion.

Listen beastiality and homosexuality can never be from God!

This is the mystery of marriage:

Genesis 2:24

This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

Listen, there is no dishonour either to the man(husband) or to the woman(wife) it was a perfect union. No schism between the two.

Genesis 2:25

Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.

What do we have today, the bastardization of marriage. Where did this anomaly come from?

It started from the enemy's deceit which we will look at very soon. The sin brought evil desires to man. Then the evil intervention of heavenly beings who came to interact with humans (females especially) and then the mutation and evolutions of media.

Yes, media has played a big role to what we humans have become. What we see and hear makes up our personality, believe system and norms/misnomers.

Be careful what your children feed their ears and eyes with!

The bible(record of scriptures) still holds the ultimate truth of what marriage should be. God created it. Jesus talked about it. Paul and Peter expanded on it by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Marriage is spiritual and ought to be between two people, yes, two opposite sexes - man and woman.

Marriage is honourable and is the only institution recognized by God for the two to be naked and not ashamed.

"Man" and "woman" alike must play their roles to make it work. No one trying to take advantage of the other.

As Jesus said:

Matthew 19:3-8

Some Pharisees came and tried to trap him with this question: “Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife for just any reason?”

“Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’”

And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’

Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”

“Then why did Moses say in the law that a man could give his wife a written notice of divorce and send her away?” they asked.

Jesus replied, “Moses permitted divorce only as a concession to your hard hearts, but it was not what God had originally intended.

Listen, there is a purpose for our lives, there are great things the Lord wants us to do. It is foolishness spending valuable time arguing about what is not convenient, things God has already settled. They are all distractions - sin and lust are both distractions.

They steal your valuable time and then keep you busy trying to clean or cover up the mess you have created, you end up not fulfilling your purpose but bring regret, illness and separation from God.

Don't get it twisted.

Genesis 1:31

Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.

If God said it was good, who is that devil that should tell you otherwise, BE WISE.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
