JUDGMENT DAY

Genesis 7:10,12

After seven days, the waters of the flood came and covered the earth.

The rain continued to fall for forty days and forty nights.

Finally the day came when the waters came to destroy every living thing on earth, judgment had come.

How foolish Noah would have looked when he walked blamelessly on the earth avoiding all the evil others did. Making sure his steps were orderly and caring so much about God to ensure he did what pleases Him.

Luke 17:26-27

“When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day.

In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.

They most likely would have taunted him, telling him what he was missing.

Moreso when he began building the ark, oh how they must have laughed. He most likely had employed some of them to help do the construction.

The same way people may think you stupid when you walk in righteousness, live blamelessly and walk with God. They assume that you are foolish not to join them to get defiled neither walking in corruption.

You know that judgment is coming.

Everything will yet be destroyed by fire!

2 Peter 3:10-11

But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live,

Remember that the moment a person dies, judgment has come for them.

Hebrews 9:27

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

Definitely how we live our lives matter.

The norm is not sin or rebellion against God, it is actually the contrary. Corrupted flesh is what makes us think otherwise.

So, which is it? Is there no more condemnation for you or are you playing to the gallery. Christ has made it alright for us, He paid the price.

He gave His live to give us freedom. When we come to Him he delivers us. However, if we really want to be free, we need to walk in His truth:

John 8:32

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

You must walk in obedience if you really want to be free and escape judgment.

Remember what Christ brought was grace and truth:

John 1:17 (kjv)

For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

The truth is God's faithfulness, you must be faithful.

Romans 6:1-2

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace?

Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

So help us Good Lord, we will be faithful, we will escape judgment. We dwell in the ark. Christ is the ark.

Psalms 91:1-2

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the lord:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.
