IN THE MIDST OF JUDGEMENT

Genesis 6:5-8

The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.

So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.

And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.”

But Noah found favor with the Lord.

Man disappointed God, he wrongfully chose disobedience in doing exactly what the Lord said he shouldn't do. The only law!

This singular err drew man away from God. This is one reason heavenly beings could dare interact with the females. Reading from some non-canonised text, we see that most of the abominations man started doing were influenced by this beings interacting with man. They gave man knowledge of terrible things that have further corrupted man's nature.

Listen, being away from God is dangerous, you have opened the door to interactions that could only cause harm.

Romans 1:20-22,26-27

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.

Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.

That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.

And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

Sin was the order of the day:

Genesis 6:5

The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.

There was no joy in keeping man for many years on earth:

 Genesis 6:3

Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years.”

There was only one option, to have a purge!

Genesis 6:7

And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.”

Now here comes the checkpoint 👉👉

Genesis 6:8

But Noah found favor with the Lord.

In the midst of the chaos and madness, Noah still kept himself, He still reverenced the Lord.

Listen, the Lord deals with remnants. The fact that everyone has gone astray doesn't mean you should. God will not change to suit man's believe or desires, it is the other way round.

Jesus said:

Luke 18:8b

But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

Don't let the multitude corrupt you, don't allow the influence of the powers of the air deceive you. Stay in the right lane, walk in His righteousness. Choose the Lord.

Who really cares about you?

Thus in the midst of judgement, WE WILL FIND FAVOUR.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
