DON'T FALL FOR IT
One way to lead someone into a trap is to ask a trick question. The lawyers would understand this, so they advice you not to answer.
In assessment we are taught that questions are NOT meant to trick the candidate, but they are to be clear(unambiguous), concise and accurate.
The enemy already knew what the instruction was, but he asked as if it did not:
Genesis 3:1
The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
It was a trick question, it mentioned every tree to force the specifics from Eve.
Listen, we must be careful of the conversations we allow. Moreso, the ones we allow in our mind.
There is a lot released into the atmosphere by the powers that operate in the air also those of manipulative spirits. Humans and media alike are mediums they use. Again, don't fall for it.
Ephesians 2:2-3
You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.
Ephesians 2:2-3
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
We have victory in Christ Jesus, we are recovering what we lost from the first fall and we have a greater inheritance. Glory to God.
Ephesians 2:4-10
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much,
that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
So we must not fall for it again. The plain old trick:
1. Lust of the eyes
2. Lust of the flesh
3. Pride of life
That was what he tempted those of old with, even the Messiah Himself.
1 John 2:15-17
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
That small moment of perceived pleasure can cause you a lifetime of sorrow if not eternal sorrow. Esau can explain it better, he lost his birthright.
Proverbs 20:17
Bread of deceit [is] sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
The Lord will keep us clean, pure and strong. We will finish each stage well.
Pray now!
Worship.
Meditate on the Word.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
