DON'T CHOOSE SIN

Genesis 4:14,16

You have banished me from the land and from your presence; you have made me a homeless wanderer. Anyone who finds me will kill me!”

So Cain left the Lord’s presence and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Sin is never an option, do not choose sin, do not succumb to it's pressure, the battle begins and ends with the mind.

Man sinned and he was banished from the garden of Eden, he was also removed from God's indwelling presence. However, it was a gradual separation. Man did not literally die immediately but he died slowly. Adam lived up to 930 years.

Remember as we saw in scriptures Cain and Abel brought their gifts to God. The relationship was still there.

However, sin was the killing factor, it was the separation mechanism. It was all about choice, God warned Cain yet he wouldn't listen. His action brought about his separation from God.

As we will see tomorrow his descendants also followed his footsteps, man was drifting away from God.

Listen to the prophets declaring God's word:

Isaiah 59:1-2

Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.

It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. 

Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

God is available His blessings and presence is sure, however man has to choose, that is the God image in us, the power to choose. We must choose rightly. We must choose righteousness.

This is the reason Christ had to come and die, to bring us back again. We yet have to choose Him.

John 3:16

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

It has been given but will you receive Him.

Yes you came to be saved, to be born again, will you live the life, or you just do the ceremony and continue in sin. God is not mocked!

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’

But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Don't chose sin, walk in righteousness!
