CARVING OUT YOUR TOMORROW

Genesis 9:24-25

When Noah woke up from his stupor, he learned what Ham, his youngest son, had done.

Then he cursed Canaan, the son of Ham:

“May Canaan be cursed!

May he be the lowest of servants to his relatives.”

I always tell those who listen that our actions and decisions today will definitely affect our tomorrow. For we are what we are today because of what we did yesterday and where we will be tomorrow is a function of what we do today.

This goes even as far eternity, our actions here on earth will definitely affect our eternity.

Revelation 20:12-13

I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.

Looking at consequences on earth, we see that generations have found themselves in inconvenient situations because of the deeds and choices of their ancestors. Ham's wrong decision in exposing his father's nakedness, marked his generation as servants.

Do remember that it was Adam's sin that caused all humans to lose their initial dominion, comfort and presence with God.

We must be careful of our actions, the choices we make and the life we live, our generation's should not suffer because of us.

Thank God for Christ Jesus He fulfilled what God proclaimed:

Jeremiah 31:29-30

“The people will no longer quote this proverb:

‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children’s mouths pucker at the taste.’

All people will die for their own sins—those who eat the sour grapes will be the ones whose mouths will pucker.

Ezekiel 18:18-20

But the father will die for his many sins—for being cruel, robbing people, and doing what was clearly wrong among his people.

“‘What?’ you ask. ‘Doesn’t the child pay for the parent’s sins?’ No! For if the child does what is just and right and keeps my decrees, that child will surely live.

The person who sins is the one who will die. The child will not be punished for the parent’s sins, and the parent will not be punished for the child’s sins. Righteous people will be rewarded for their own righteous behavior, and wicked people will be punished for their own wickedness.

Never let anyone entrap you because of the sins or mistakes of your ancestors. No

2 Corinthians 5:17

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

We carve our own tomorrow, we walk in the heritage of Christ.

We have no curse but blessings.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.

Love
