A NEW BEGINNING
Genesis 8:21-22
And the Lord was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things.
As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”
As we go on in life we get the opportunity of starting afresh, a new beginning to help us start again. How we take advantage of it matters.
An Igbo proverb says that the time a man wakes up is his morning. This implies that your starting point may not be the same as your neighbour, however how well you use it will determine how far you will go and how much you accomplish.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
All is not revealed to us, only the Heavenly Father has the full script of all events and how every man's times goes. He also allows us decide how we go for we are yet given the burden of time. So as each time unfolds the question is if we are ready to move on to the next phase!
The story of Noah continues with a new beginning, he and his family were coming into a new existence, the people in their generation were destroyed because of sin, they had to set the course going forward.
Noah had a good start by sacrificing to the Lord. Appreciation for the opportunity to be preserved to see this new dispensation.
Do you remember to give thanks? It is easy to forget that you have prayed and sought for where you are now from the Lord when He finally takes you to the next stage. Instead, we are quick to begin to ask for the next phase.
Remember that you prayed for where you are now from where you are coming from. Give God praise.
He who did this one will yet do the next. He is faithful.
Someone said, enjoy the journey as you move to the destination!
What is your next phase? Are you making good use of the present one? Are you sure that you are not the one delaying your promotion?
Lord help us move smoothly from one level of greatness to another.
He calls us blessed.
Love
